Food Poisoning Abroad?

Have you had food poisoning whilst abroad on holiday?

I’m guessing that you’re here because your holiday didn’t turn out to be the holiday of your dreams? In fact, it’s highly likely that, you have (or someone you love has) recently had an illness on holiday and you feel that you or they may be entitled to financial compensation

Unfortunately food poisoning is becoming more of a common occurrence abroad. Fortunately food poisoning commonly presents itself with mild symptoms; however it can has been known to cause fatalitiesin some rare cases.

Food poisoning normally happens after food or drink we consume is contaminated with bacteria, viruses or chemicals.  The most common type of food poisoning is bacteria in food poisoning which many people suffer on holiday and is becoming a regular occurrence.

When you make that call here’s what will happen…

  • A member of my New Enquiries Team will ask you where you were on holiday and to describe your accident with as much detail as possible. Don’t worry about this bit, we realise this may be distressing. We speak to lots of people in a similar situation day in day out and we know a lot of our clients like to ask questions at this point and, of course, we are always happy to answer them. Oh, and if you forget to ask something don’t worry, we’ll give you a special number to call us back on at any time.
  • Once we have gathered all the facts about your holiday accident we’ll establish the best way forward and we’ll report back to you quickly. We’ll give you advice of course on how we think we should proceed to obtain a successful outcome for you but at this point it’s entirely up to you to decide what to do next armed with our advice. You are in full control, with a team of experts behind you.
  • Then if you do want us to pursue the claim for your holiday accident we’ll discuss the next steps with you.
  • …And remember, none of this will cost you a penny. If we are unsuccessful you don’t have to pay our fees. If we’re successful in pursuing your claim then as well as getting the compensation you deserve we recover most of our costs from the other party. You’ll contribute a percentage of your compensation towards our legal fees but only in the event we are successful and this is payable at the end of your claim. We’ll pay for everything needed to build your case like the cost of retrieving medical records and preparing reports.

Do you have a case?

Taking the step to ask for help after an illness whilst on holiday through no fault of your own can be difficult. We use our many years' experience in dealing with travel claims to get the compensation you deserve to recover after your injury.
