Specialist personal injury and mortgage mis-selling firm Aequitas Legal recently celebrated it’s 10-year anniversary, having established itself in Manchester in August 2009.
Built on offering outstanding customer service and continual employee development, the firm is proud to announce that Matthew Trusch, Partner, has been promoted to the role of Managing Partner as of 1st January 2020. He will be taking over responsibilities from the current Managing Partner and founder, Sucheet Amin, who will take the role of Senior Partner.
Matthew has been with the firm since December 2009 as a newly qualified Solicitor before becoming Associate in 2014 and Partner in 2016.
Aequitas Legal has built a strong reputation for outstanding customer service, particularly in the personal injury sector where the firm has become highly respected and been recognised by the number of awards and accreditations it has achieved. Last month, the firm achieved Gold status for Investors in People having previously achieved the Silver award.
Notable success includes winning the very prestigious Excellence in Customer Service Award at the Law Society Awards in 2013 and being shortlisted for Small Law firm of the Year Award in 2018.
The firm has been a leader in recognising the demands placed on employees working in the sector and began a programme back in 2017 to support health, happiness and wellbeing in the workplace. Initiatives have included office massages, organised lunch time walks and the introduction of the Virgin pulse challenge. An educational programme to explain productivity and output for all employees has helped them understand their level of contribution to the company.
The firm also seeks to find innovative ways of servicing clients and uses a mobile App called inCase, designed by the founder, Sucheet Amin, to communicate with clients, driving client engagement and satisfaction.
Matthew said, “It has always been an ambition of mine to manage the practice and I am truly delighted to take on this important role overseeing the day to day responsibilities and operations. The firm has a clear vision for the future and I am committed to ensuring that it’s potential is met. We have a strong set of company values and a hardworking, professional and well skilled team who recognise and work towards the high standards we have set. I look forward to developing the Aequitas brand further and continuing its vision to provide outstanding customer service and developing our staff to achieve their own ambitions.”
Sucheet added, “It’s an incredible moment in the history of the firm and a clear message to our people that there is no limit to progression within. Matthew has been with the firm since the very start and is a natural leader who will help guide us moving forward. He has great ideas and coupled with the respect of our people will ensure a solid future for the firm.”
