Arm Injuries & Compensation Estimations
Compensation for arm injuries relate to the degree of loss of use and vary greatly as follows.
If both arms are lost as a result of the accident, between £172,00 – £214,250 will be awarded. If only one arm is lost, the compensation depends on the location of the amputation. At the shoulder, no less than £98,000 is awarded. Above the elbow the claimant will receive between £78,300 – £93,500 and if amputated below the elbow, between £68,750 – £78,300 can be claimed.
Other Arm Injuries:
A severe injury (non amputation) would usually be awarded with between £68,750 – £93,500. A claimant who suffered a simple fracture could expect to receive between £4,750 – £13, 700.
