In preparation for our Charity Cycle Ride (in Aid of Brake) on 13th May 2012, we have decided to publish team focus interviews from a number of our personal injury lawyers taking part in the event. Today we look at Heather Bailey!
I am a keen cyclist, albeit a fair weather one!! I like to get on my bike during the lighter summer months to keep fit and help local and national charities raise well needed funds.
I have road bikes and mountain bikes and although I am not a member of a cycling club at the moment I ride with a group of like-minded friends, as well as my family members.
Like a lot of cyclists I enjoy relaxing at countryside cafés and watching the world go by. My favourite places to cycle are around Glazebrook, Warrington as well as Chipping and Garstang, near Preston, Lancashire.
I appreciate that some people cycle for fun and some people cycle to work keeping costs down. All road users should be given the same courtesy including cyclists and I am always looking to encourage people to get on their bikes, despite their previous perception of cyclists.
I like acting for fellow cyclists who have been involved in an accident as I feel I can understand their emotions having a few near misses myself. I like to help them get back into the saddle with the aid of physiotherapy and even psychological treatment if this is recommended by the medical expert.
